Calabash Decoration Workshop

Mulitcultural Craft

• 1.5 – 2 hours per session
• Students design and paint their very own African Calabash Bowl  that can be exhibited in the school
• Power point Presentation on the origins of the calabash and how this humble vegetable is used in so many ways all over the world
• Design for calabash can fit around any ongoing themes in the school-previous themes have included- ‘Where we come from’, ‘Underwater’, ‘Animals of Africa’, ‘Paint the World’
• These unique art workshops are a great way to encourage multi-culturalism and integration as design, materials and patterns from across the globe are used.
