Wassa Wassa Workshops offer a range of diverse art workshops that can cater for many different age groups across the community.
Current Programmes:
Artreach-Raising Awareness through Art
This programme engages participants in critical analysis of the use of images by various organisations to raise awareness about social and development issues. Incorporating interactive games, moving debates and colourful presentations -Students create their own advocacy post cards-these workshops can also incorporate a section on the Millenium Development Goals-see our gallery for some examples of students work from this module.
Garment Upcycle
Revamp your old threads & learn a range of new techniques. These workshops include presentations on ethical fabrics & the environmental impact of our fashion choices. Experiment with tie-dye, print & cutting techniques to breathe new life into your old clothes in this hands-on, practical colour-filled workshop!
Make a Book Workshop
Create your very own publication! Use collage, assemblage, creative writing skills & computer publishing techniques to create a finished, bound book to professional standard. This is a great project for a community group or class & can be adapted to themes already being explored by groups.
